The Best Year Of My Life!!
I can’t believe 2008 is over! What happened to the last year? This is the year I had dreamed of since I was a little girl. I always wanted to be a wife and a Mommy. I married my Mr. Right in 2005, and thanks to a lot of help, I finally got to be a Mommy….to THREE babies. I am the luckiest woman in the world. I am not saying this year has been all roses, but every thorn I hit has made me a stronger and happier woman. Think about it. Last January, I was on a Zofran pump to prevent me from vomiting all of the time. On top of that, I was having to force (what an oxymoron for me) myself to eat.
I was honestly scared after I got pregnant. I LOVE being in control. With any pregnancy, much a less a triplet pregnancy, you are not in control of everything. I was so scared I was going to lose one or more of the babies. Every day I did an ultrasound to make sure I still saw three heartbeats. Is that not insane?! I already loved my babies that much. Every MFM appointment I went to, my blood pressure was elevated because I was so scared something was going to be wrong. There is a Bible verse that says “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication make your requests known to God and the peace of God that trancends all understanding will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus”. I quoted that verse to myself all of the time. I wish I could have let it sink in more.
As the year progressed, Raj and I bought a new house…in the burbs….and left our little condo. The day we closed on the house, I went on bedrest. How insane is that?! On April 14th, I was admitted to the hospital for the duration of my pregnancy because my cervix was 8mm and I was contracting tons. Oh how I felt like I had failed my babies. It took me a long time to work through that one! I am so glad I am past that now! Those 29 days were tough, but WELL WORTH every minute of it.
Then my sweet babies were born. Oh what a moment. I started worrying about them the moment they were delivered. It is amazing I can evaluate a baby without even seeing it! I was the most worried about Evie. Oh I still remember that feeling so well. She didn’t cry enough for me. Maggie nor Josh concerned me all that much. I still remember them bringing the babies past me. Mark, my friend and NICU respiratory therapist, let kiss Maggie. That was the most priceless moment of my life. I remember starting to cry. I did not get to touch the other two. However, 9 hours after surgery thanks to being a little difficult, I got to go to the NICU to see my babies. Oh what a glorious moment that was! They were all so perfect and beautiful.
Then, on June 10th, I got to bring all three of my babies home. What an awesome moment that was. Raj and I made it. We survived our first night at home alone…in fact, we thrived! The next weeks were wonderful! We went to the beach. We loved on our babies. It was all perfect until…..
I will still never forget doing chest compressions on Maggie and begging God not to let her die. Oh it was just terrible. I will NEVER forget that itty bitty little cry after more than four minutes of compressions that let me know she was going to live. Those eight days while she was in the hospital were a nightmare for me. I think that was the absolute most difficult time in my life……ever. I am so lucky to have such wonderful friends and family. I don’t know how I would have survived without each of you.
The past few months have been so fun! The babies are growing like weeds! They are starting to babble, and they are loving eating solid foods. They love to play and explore their worlds. I think we will even have some teeth soon too! I am enjoying learning their personalities and their little quirks.
Raj and I have grown stronger as a couple. It is so wonderfulto still be so in love with him. We are definitely learning more about one another as each day passes. We have even gotten to spend time together without the babies thanks to Mimi and Mrs. Susan. You are both wonderful. However, when Raj and I are out, it is hard not to talk about the babies. Every moment with him is the greatest moment ever. I am so lucky.
Well, if you made it through all of that, thanks so much for reading. 2008 has been the best year of my life….ever. I can’t wait to see how 2009 goes. I know there will be tons of surprises and excitement along the way. I want to thank you all for reading our story. I can’t wait to share the happenings of 2009 with you all.
Now I am stealing an idea from my friend Jen’s blog!
I love you all.

Fun On The Swings!
We had a blast playing on the swings! This is my first attempt at adding videos. In general, I am not too fond of them on blogs. I like words and pictures more than videos. However, I am going to give it a try! I think it is fun to actually hear what the babies sound like!
This is Maggie talking with me while she is swinging!
Josh had a great nap while we were at the park! He did fianlly wake up and swing. However, we didn’t get that part on video!
Evie had a blast! She is definitely my most adventurous child!
Oh, by the way, we do know this is blurry. I am working to fix that for next time!
I love you all.

My Last Christmas Post….For this year!
After the babies had taken their much needed morning naps on Christmas, Aaji and Aaja came over! We had a blast! The babies had so much fun playing with them. We shared Christmas brunch together. Aaji brought these fantastic asparagus wraps. All it was is asparagus with fresh parmesan cheese wrapped in phillo dough. They were great! I will definitely be making that one from time to time! The babies loved all of their gifts! The girls even got REAL diamond earrings!! We all had a wonderful time…then I had to go to work. It was a very Merry Christmas for us!
I love you all.

Merry Christmas…A Few Days Late!!
I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas! I know we did! The babies were amazed (and I think a little overwhelmed) by all of their Christmas gifts!! They asked me and Daddy to set out cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve, so we obliged. They were wonderful babies and did not try to sneak out of their cribs to spy on Santa. They even slept all night long! They did have to beg their Daddy to get out of the bed so they could go and see the presents Santa brought. Daddy seemed a little sleepy, but he did finally get up! We had so much fun looking at all of the toys Santa brought. Even the kitty cats got their stockings filled! It was a wonderful morning for our family to spend together. The best Christmas gift ever was our Saviour coming. For me and Daddy, we LOVE our Christmas gift of the babies. They are the most wonderful gift ever! We hope you all had a wonderful and blessed Christmas!
Once again, Merry Christmas!
I love you all!

Christmas Eve Family Fun!
Today, we got together with Mimi and all of my siblings to celebrate Christmas! We had so much fun! The babies did wonderfully well! They loved opening presents…and watching everyone else open presents! It could not have been a more special day! My personal favorite part was everyone telling Mimi how we were able to help others instead of buying her a Christmas gift. It was so neat to hear the different ways we were all able to give. I am certain that will be a family tradition from now on! I have tons and tons of pictures! I hope you all enjoy them!
Have the most wonderful Christmas!
I love you all.

Oops! I forgot!
I know I am a few weeks late here, but I forgot to mention Thanksgiving with Mimi and all my siblings! We had a blast! Uncle Charles smoked one turkey and cooked one the traditional way for Mimi! The food was fantastic. The company was even better! Uncle Casey and Aunt Susan were even able to make it down! We had a blast with them. The only hard part for me was three overstimulated babies! Granted, if they are not at home, they are overstimulated. Just part of my crazy, fun life with triplets! Here a few pictures from all of the fun!
I love you all.

Seven Month Letters
Dear Miss Evie,
Oh my sweet girl! You are growing up too fast for Mommy! You are rolling all over the place. The other day, you rolled half way across the living room floor! You are pushing up so high with your arms. When you see something you want that is not within your reach, you try to figure out ways to get it! You will stretch or roll, you have even done the army crawl! It is amazing to watch! You are sitting up so well on your own. Soon, you are not going to need any help from Mommy to do it! You love to look and examine your world! This includes sticking your fingers and hands in your brother and sister’s faces, mouths, eyes, and noses! You watch everything. You are so intent on watching what is going on around you. It really does amaze me!
You are finally starting to eat a little more. You will eat from 5-7 ounces every 4 hours during the day. You really like your solid foods! However, I have to pull your thumb out of your mouth every time I want to give you another spoonful. You like to “help” me feed you. Sometimes that can get very messy! Whenever we try you with a new food, you don’t like it. The second time, and there after, you love it! I hope you remember that when you grow up!
You are still in six month clothes. However, you are only days away from nine month clothes. You are getting so long, the footed outfits are getting too short! Size two diapers are still fitting perfect, but I think you will be out of them soon also. You now weigh 16 pounds 2 ounces. Goodness gracious girlie! I still remember when you were teeny tiny!
I love your big little personality! You are so energetic! You really don’t demand too much attention. You are very happy to just entertain yourself. However, you do love playing with your brother and sister. You love to be thrown in the air! You just cackle and laugh! You love to talk, even if it is to no one in particular! I have a feeling you are going to be my little daredevil. I will be interested to see what your favorite activities are as you get older.
Always remember how much I love you my little brown bean. You are my precious Evie.
Love Always,
Mommy
Dear Miss Maggie,
Oh my little princess! You growing up way too fast for Mommy. Sometimes it makes me a little sad, but then I get so excited about how many new things you are learning to do every day! You have finally learned how rolled over. You are almost as much of a roly-poly as your sissy. I am so glad you finally figured out how to roll from your tummy to your back because it was getting a little frustrating having to get up in the middle of the night and roll you back to your back when you would wake up crying because you could not do it yourself. That only lasted a week, and now you can do it all! You are my best sitter! You can sit up with the best of them….and you love every minute of it!
You are my “touchy, feely” girl. You love to touch anyone you can get you hands on. This includes your brother and sister. It is a very loving touch unlike your sissy’s touch that is more of an exploration. You will just lay on the floor and hold either Josh or Evie’s hand and just smile at them. It is so precious to watch. It really warms my heart. You also love to cuddle with your Mommy. If I could hold you all day long, you would be the happiest! At night when I have to get you up to eat your last bottle of the day, I love snuggling with you and feeling your warmth. It is so wonderful for me.
You are definitely not my daredevil. You are a lot like your Mommy. We both like being on solid ground. You have gotten pretty upset the few times we have tried to toss you up in the air. You would rather just be held. You love bouncing around in the exersaucer and flipping through your books. You have many other ways to have fun besides being wild!
This month I had to increase the amount of formula you are eating. You are now eating 7.5 ounces every four hours during the day. Some meals you eat very little, but I think it all evens out in the end. You have gotten in the bad habit (or trained me and Daddy very well) of wanting your last meal 1-2 hours after you have gone to bed for the night, I am working on fixing that issue. You are still my most finicky eater. You will make yourself throw up if you don’t like the taste. Normally this only happens the first time you try a new food…..or when your Daddy is feeding you! You need to be nicer to him. Poor guy gets thrown up on at least once a day. Normally, it is by you!
You are my growing girl. You are still in six month clothes and size two diapers. I think you are going to be growing out of both of them very quickly. I think you only have another week or two left in both. You are now weighing 16 pounds 11.5 ounces. Do you realize you were my littlest baby? Now you are all grown up!
You are my little spitfire even though you are not a daredevil. You have one wild little personality. You know exactly what you want, and you want it NOW. Not later. NOW. Some days it is actually humorous to watch! You are definitely not my most patient child. I think you are the first one out of the crib most mornings because you let me know you want out! You can throw a temper tantrum if you disagree with what I am doing. However, those ate getting fewer and farther between. It is amazing to watch you mature….even at seven months old. That hospital stay spoiled you, and we are still having to “unspoil” you from that experience! I say all of that, but I love your personality. I love knowing you are going to grow up to be a strong woman. I love watching you figure out how to deal with different situations and make it work best for you.
Don’t ever, ever forget how much I love you. You are my precious “Magsters”
Love Always,
Mommy
Dear Mr. Josh,
Oh my sweet Buster Brown. You are just the most huggable and kissable little boy ever. Sometimes I think you must wonder what your name is because I call you Buster Brown so much. I am not sure where that came from, but it sure has stuck! You are my most stubborn kiddo at times. I am trying to get you to start rolling from your back to your tummy. You will have NONE of it! You don’t want to be on your tummy, and there is nothing I can do to make you roll over. In fact, when I put you on your tummy for tummy time, you immediately flip back to your back. Then, I roll you back over and we start again. Most of the time you start to cry and get mad. It makes me feel sad, but I know how important it is for you to start rolling. You love to sit up and play. You love the flower toy the best. You love hitting it and watching it light up and play music. You are so strong, and bouncing is one of your favorite things to do. Once you figure out how to roll, your strength is going to propel you past your sisters I bet.
God knew exactly what he was doing when he gave you two sisters. You are always watching to figure out where they are and what they are doing. You can’t relax until you know they are okay. You get very upset if one of them gets upset. It is obvious you are always going to love and protect them.
You are just so happy-go-lucky. You are so laid back and happy. It is so cute to watch. One of your favorite things to do is jump real hard in your exersaucer until I look at you, then you just grin from ear to ear. It is so sweet. It is like you are just wanting me to know you love me. It is so precious. You do have a touch of a temper at times…especially when it is time to eat. If we don’t get your bib on and your bottle in your mouth fast enough, you throw the biggest temper tantrum ever. However, the moment the bottle is in your mouth, it all stops!
You have always loved to eat. That has definitely not changed! You still love your bottles. You are even trying to help hold them when you eat. I think that is something you may master this month. You are still eating eight ounces every four hours during the day right now. You LOVE your solid food! It is kind of funny. When I start feeding you, you don’t really want to eat it, then as the meal progresses, you get really into it. You will open your mouth so wide when you see the soon and hear me say “bite”. It is so funny. You make the smallest mess of any of the three of you. I think it is because you like the food the most!
You are in nine month clothes and size three diapers. I think you will be in both of those for a while. You seem to be getting taller, but I have not measured you to check that one out. You weigh 19 pounds 9 ounces. I was looking through some of your things last night, and I came across a hat you wore in the NICU. That hat is now so small (or you are so big), I think it would be a great mitten for you!!
I love to listen to you laugh. It is one of the most precious sounds to me! Once we get you going, you will just laugh and laugh. Your Daddy is the best at getting you tickled. You are definitely a Daddy’s boy! You love to rough house with him. It is so sweet and precious to watch.
I love you so much Buster Brown. You are my precious baby boy.
Love Always,
Mommy
