ING Georgia Half Marathon
Do you wonder where I have been? I do…sort of!! It has be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO crazy around here lately. Tonight, I am tired but I really wanted to get a post up, so all I am going to talk about is the half marathon.
It was so fun! It was a perfect day to run! It was so neat for all of my siblings to run a half marathon together! I am especially proud of my sister Ashley. This was her first half marathon ever!!!! Yea Aunt Ashley!!!!! I am so proud of you!
I am very proud of my time. It was faster than what I ran in 2007. I think that is pretty impressive considering what I was doing at this time last year. Last year at this time I could not walk into Publix to get milk, I had to ride in the motorized wheelchair. For that matter, I was not supposed to get off the couch. This year, I have run TWO half marathons! How exciting. I hope my babies see this and are challenged to stay healthy.
I have also decided to run my first full marathon in the fall. I am going to run the Marine Corps Marathon. I know it is going to be a ton of work, but I can wait to see myself finish it. Joy and I are planning on training together! Go us!
I also want to thank my dear, dear husband. He brought the babies to the race. He knew I wanted to see them at the end, so he brought them without complaint. It was so special to have my family at the race. I hope the next race I run it will not be so cold! It was perfect for me, but not for them. I was so proud of my entire family as I left the race. That was a wonderful feeling.
I love you all.

Slides And Savings
We had a great weekend, and a crazy week so far! Daddy and I took the babies to the park and played on Sunday! The babies got to go down the slide with Mommy and Daddy for the first time! I think they liked it! I know I thought it was great fun!
- Here come Mommy and Miss Maggie!
- Here go Mommy and Evie!!
- Mommy and Maggie are about to go down the slide!!
- Now, Evie would like to try to walk!
- Here they go!!!
- Look at these two wild men!
Sunday at 7pm, I went grocery shopping with coupons. Guess what time I finished? 10pm!!!!! It was BRUTAL. My brain hurt so badly by the time I was finished, I think it turned to mush momentarily. I never knew grocery shopping could make one so tired! It exhausted me. Poor Raj. He called me at 9:40. He was worried I had been in a car accident or hurt or something. By the time he called, I was truly in the “zone”! Plus, I knew Publix closed at 10pm, so I had to hurry! He was pretty shocked I was still shopping, but once he knew I was fine, we hung up!
Here is the most important part……………
I spent $161…..I saved $157!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you believe that?!?!?!?!?! I am still pretty shocked. I know there are ways to save more, but for my first try, I am pleased. Do you know the coolest part? I did not buy one store brand item! It was so neat to come home with brand name foods for cheaper than store brands!
My best friend Amanda from Nashville came in late Sunday night. She spent a crazy two days with me, and now she is gone. I am pretty sad. I miss her. However, I will get to see her when she comes down for the babies’ birthday party. OMG! Can you believe we are talking about their first birthday? What had happened to the past year? It has flown by way too quickly!
I love you all.

I Know I Don’t Mention It Enough
I really have the most wonderful husband in the world. He is the most kind, loving, and thoughtful man. He is a wonderful father. He is a computer genious. I could not ask for more.
Today, he woke me up from my nap and told me he needed me to help him with something. I agreed. He handed me cash to go and buy new running shoes. I have run at least four half marathons in the shoes I am currently wearing. We have needed to spend our money on other things, so I have just been happy with what I have had. He has saved cash every week so I could get a new pair of shoes. How many women have husbands as wonderful as mine? I bet very few.
Also, he watched the babies today and yesterday. Yesterday, I went shopping for the babies after my Weight Watchers meeting. He did not complain. Then, I went to work for the evening. Today, I went to Athens and ran a 5k and then 7 more miles with my sister. He watched the babies all day. I am so lucky to have such an awesome husband. He is such a wonderful man and father. I love you Raj.
I love you all.

Couponing
I am not sure if “couponing” is a true word, but I know it is a verb no matter what anyone says! I am trying really, really hard to learn how to shop with coupons. If it were as easy as putting a coupon with a food, I would be fine. However, to “coupon” appropriately, you need to buy the said foods when they are already on sale. Ughh. My brain is fried. Tonight, I went to Publix and spent $58.58. I saved $28.70 with my coupons. I know that is okay, but I had wanted to save more. I guess a 33% savings on the first try is not too bad! Since, I got home from the store, I have been organizing my coupons and trying to prepare for shopping this weekend. I am tired now. Sweet Josh understands how I feel!
Isn’t my sweet boy precious?
I love you all.

The New Favorite Toy
With hundreds of dollars of toys in the playroom, what do my kids love the most?
The Diet Coke Bottle!
The innocence of babies! I love it!
I got a few pics of Josh playing with the bottle, but the girls love it as much as he does!!
I love you all.

Under The Sea
Today, we went to the Georgia Aquarium! It was so, so much fun!! I am not completely sure I saw any fish, but I have pictures to prove I did! It was so fun just being out with friends!
The craziest part of the day was how many people asked if mine and Jen’s babies were sextuplets. That was astounding to us. Jen’s trio are six months older than mine. They all look little, but mine definitely look smaller. Jen and I were so tempted to say yes, but we didn’t….we sure did think about it though! The other question we got all day was if the choo-choo wagons were rentals! Had we known they would be so popular, we would have just rented out the choo-choos and sat outside! We could have made a killing!!
I think the lunch break was a ton of fun! We even got to hang out with another set of triplets!! It is so fun to see what my kiddos will be like in a few years!
I can’t wait until our next outing!
I love you all!

Cracker Barrel
Mimi and I took the babies to Cracker Barrel for dinner tonight! The babies loved the mashed potatoes, dumplings, applesauce, and biscuits! Mimi and I were both stunned at how much they ate! Poor Daddy is still at work. The babies have missed him today. I have missed him today.
Tomorrow, the babies and I are going to meet up with some friends at the Aquarium! I promise to have awesome pictures of that trip!!!
I love you all.

Who Is American/Southern/Gergian Here?
If you are, you will know the answer to this question. What happened today?!?!?!?!
The Answer Is…..
Today was the first time ever in the history of the Peachtree Road Race we were able to register online!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you are not in the “know”, the Peachtree Road Race is a 10k on the 4th of July. It is the world’s largest 10k. There are 55,000 people who run it! It is so, so much fun! 45,000 entries were allowed online today. The last 10,000 will held in a raffle after the the paper entry comes out next Sunday in the AJC. Can you believe the first 45,000 spots were filled within the first seven hours?!?!? It is that awesome of a race.
I am so, so excited. Last year was the first time in six years I missed the race. I guess having just had triplets was a good enough excuse!! I can’t wait to run it this year. It is such a fun event!
I am training for another half marathon first! In two weeks, I will run the Georgia ING Half Marathon. Today, Joy and I ran 10.42 miles in preparation! It only took us two hours! That is not even race pace. I am thrilled. We are going to do great in two weeks. Oh yeah. That is doing the run/walk method of Jeff Galloway. We would run three minutes and walk one. That’s not too shabby is it? I sure don’t think so!
Nothing else exciting is going on. I will have more cute baby pics tomorrow!
I love you all.
